The Audi R8 V10 RWS says “No” to the Quattro. This beast is with 540 horses and rear-wheel drive

The Audi R8 V10 RWS is one of the last cars to come out of the Audi Sport department, while Stephan Winkelmann still has a boss. He says the model is a successful realization of the R8 LMS concept.

The RWS comes from the Rear Wheel Series and you can watch the model of something like the Lambo Gallardo LP550-2 Valentino Balboni – a minor version of the “eliminated” double racing, racing strips and a higher price.

The car is powered by the 5.2-liter V10 with 540 hp. and 540 Nm and will be available as both coupe and Spyder. The rigid roof version weighs 1680kg, raises a third for 3.7 seconds and develops 320km / h, and the roadster is 40kg heavier, 0.1sec slower to one hundred and lagging at 2km / h, maximum speed. Both versions come in black with 19-inch wheels and 245/35 and 295/35, as well as a number of placards that fill the holes in the seats normally occupied by the quattro badges. On the dashboard in the lovely interior, for example, you can see a metallic inscription ‘1 of 999’ – the second digit is the print limit. The price? It starts at 140,000 euros for the coupe and 153,000 for the Spyder.
